Blue Moose Restaurant in Breckenridge

Short old lady up front extremely rude.. Don't take debit or credit card. Force you to use their ATM inside.. Was told this was a good spot to go to and to recommend to people.. Can guarantee that I will not step foot in there again and will spread the word to not go there. Good thing you're in Breck otherwise imo this business wouldn't last.

Staff is very nice. Got a breakfast and of course it was a very busy time . But we wait not so long about 5-10 min. Their cinnamon roll was incredible! Took 2 omelets but both were not fully cooked as for me. Ingredients were a little raw. In general is ok

Great service and great food. Started with a cinnamon roll and strawberry smoothie for our family to share.....then followed up with breakfast burrito, bagel sandwich, and some pancakes/eggs for the kids. Sat on the patio and our server kept the coffees topped off. Recommend Blue Moose if you're in town!

Nice breakfast restaurant. Lots of locals when we visited. Everyone was really friendly. We were the first people to pull in well before they opened and the owner comes out and waves us in. Beautiful view of the sun rise hitting the mountain peaks to the west of town.

We love this place it’s our favorite place for breakfast and Breckenrige. Service is always good but even more consistent is the food my husband only gets one thing. I try to switch it up a bit but one of my favorite things on the menu is there steak and eggs. Cash only, I can’t believe how many people still try to pay with a credit card. They do have a ATM outside.I forgot to take pictures before I started eating. The other good thing about this place is that they sell a lot of stuff for altitude sickness.I WOULD highly recommend this place we love it.

Breakfast burrito was amazing and filling. Amazing service and enough seating for large groups. Cash only, but ATM fee for ATM inside is cheaper than nearby machines. Everything on the menu is reasonably priced (this will probably be one's cheapest and most filling meal when in Breckenridge). Cannot wait to go back!

now im slave to this place for life i will be returning for these eggs benedict's forever feels like when you want to shout from the top of a mountain I love Blue Moose lol staff vibe food all magical owner was so friendly. ty

Great friendly, hard working staff, excellent food. Watch out for that mexi omelet, it's loaded with jalapenos, but that chili sauce is wonderful in it. Potato's were a great compliment. Pancakes were huge, and the cinnamon buns they have are great to share. Also, don't forget to grab a 1 liter smoothy, they'll bring cups so you can share. Good coffee!! Finally!! One of the other nearby places was way too weak. We'll go back before we leave out of Breckenridge for sure.

*Really* good breakfast... but bring cash! No credit taken, although *trades* are. I'd never considered what I'd trade for a good breakfast before...

Come here every time we visit Breck, and we are never disappointed.

Being we're in the middle of a pandemic this restaurant had the service locked down! The staff is extremely friendly, the dining area was clean and cozy! The bathrooms were spotless and the food was amazing! You have to try the cappuccino smoothie as it was excellent!

Great spot for breakfast walking distance from base of peak 9. Great view of Breckenridge ski area, especially if you sit by the windows. Pro Tips: Cash Only! ATM inside. Get the biscuit and gravy bowl with a spoonful of chorizo on top.Get the mimosa with a shot of vodka.

Best bacon breakfast burrito I've ever had!! The sauce was amazing, the amount of bacon was perfect, and overall my whole meal tasted Fabulous! Employees were great!

Food is outstanding. Staff is great. We went there the first morning of our vacation, and loved it so much we went back the next morning. Coffee is great. Highly recommended. Mike was our server the first morning and he did an incredible job!

Ultra friendly owner and staff. The establishment was a little tight and parking lot as well. I see why it was packed the food and service was excellent.

This is a great local gem where the service is as good as the food! The owner himself sat us at our table....the food was amazingly fresh and flavorful. A must stop for any foodie or anyone looking for a great breakfast!

The service was absolutely excellent! The host and waitress that served us were very cheerful, attentive, and you could tell they loved their jobs! We ate breakfast here, the pancakes are wonderful, but the cinnamon roll we had was PHENOMENAL. Would 100% recommend this place for breakfast!

Everyone was very friendly, it was busy but we had no wait time. Food was delicious. Definitely a must for breakfast!

Really nice staff and small town atmosphere. Good menu variety. Food is way over priced. $3 extra for maple syrup? $2 extra for cheese? My friend got biscuits and gravy with grits, it looked like little kid portions. He ate the grits in 2 bites. My eggs Benedict was yummy, the English muffins were over toasted and even with a serrated knife it was hard to cut through. The potatoes on the side looked so yummy, but they were dry and under seasoned. We got one of their “famous” cinnamon rolls. The dough was perfect and tender, but it was the driest cinnamon roll I’ve ever tasted - the cinnamon filling was just dry. My husband agreed - not gooey at all like a cinnamon roll should be. The coffee was not good either. Another friend got a breakfast burrito and he said it was delicious, so that was a win.

This somewhat greasy spoon breakfast only join sets the bar for an amazing breakfast spot. Everything from the coffee to the pancakes are awesome so you really can’t go wrong. It is often packed on peak ski mornings, so get in early and don’t forget to bring cash. The biscuits here are worth coming for alone and they barely even get listed on the menu. The scrambles are super tasty with a wide range of fillings and stuff to round out the plate. I loved the steak one with some green chili on the side to add some heat. The pancakes are super fluffy and delicious as well so don’t skip out. It almost doesn’t matter what you get because everything is so good. Hit the moose and you’ll be fueled for the whole day of activity.

Really good food! Just be advised before going that it's cash only, pretty crazy in 2020 but thankfully we had some on hand. Well worth a visit if you have cash handy.

Service and food we're very good. We had a lemon poppyseed cheesecake muffin which was very flavorful and moist, and served warm. We also had the biscuits and gravy, and the breakfast burrito. Everything was great and the staff was friendly and attentive.

Delish food, divine service, and decadent coffee!

Once again a terrific place to start a ski day. The hash with two eggs, grits & toast is sure to get you to lunch without a problem. This is a staple on our annual Brackenridge ski trip. We'll be back next year for sure.

The server was friendly and attentive! Food came out pretty quick also! Parking could be a challenge, as the parking lot is tiny and shared with another business. That isn't an issue if you like to walk, but most parking is pay parking within the city, which I really dislike (it hasn't always been that way). Food was good, but not amazing. Coffee was strong, but not bitter. They are cash only, but they do have an ATM inside. I recommend bringing cash like my wife and I did. We hate paying those darn ATM fees!!! Overall, I say it's worth you stopping by!

I and my grand daughter went there for breakfast. They have a good assortment of breakfast items to suit just about anyone’s tastes. The food was hot, very good, and served quickly. I would recommend getting there no later than 8:00 am, as free parking is limited and the restaurant is smaller. There is very nice outdoor seating space too. They don’t accept credit or debit cards. Cash or check only. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I will visit them again.

I was in Breckenridge for 4 days and I ate breakfast at Blue Moose for every single one of the 4 days. If you’re looking for a good, hearty breakfast and exceptional service, look no further. You don’t have to witness another spot, this is the one to go to. From sausages, to cinnamon rolls, to cheesy eggs, this place has everything you could dream about for a good breakfast. Now that I’m back in Miami, I miss it more than ever. Would definitely come again, and hoping you guys move to the East Coast!

Service exceptional! Our server was great! Food was good a few items not on the menu due to the virus but what we did eat was good. Made sure to have cash on had as to no debit/credit cards. Coffee was decent a little on the pricy side but would go back.

Super friendly staff and excellent breakfast dishes! We were seated quickly, greeted with a friendly smile and upbeat attitude, and told about the special banana pancakes. They make their own coffee in house and it was very good! The offer a special Vermont maple syrup for a small upcharge, but it is worth it. I had the French Roll breakfast with cinnamon toast, eggs, and bacon. The flavors were fresh and bursting with deliciousness! Pam was a very attentive and sweet waitress who made sure we enjoyed everything! Visit while in Breckenridge!! You won't regret it!

If you want to be as happy as this man right here - go to Blue Moose Cafe and order the these amazing, drool worthy cinnamon rolls. The food was incredible and the greeter was very friendly and engaging.This is by far my favorite breakfast spot in Breckenridge

Go here if you’re looking for a great breakfast experience. While the food is delicious, it’s the staff working here that make it unique. Amazing overall.

The service was AMAZING!! From the host, to the bidders, to the servers- all around wonderful. The food was good but nothing special. I had the biscuits and gravy, and it was pretty mediocre. It seems like a down home consistent place to eat.

Had this recommended to me by the hotel staff where I was staying. I’m on a road trip so I wasn’t planning on staying for breakfast as I have a long drive ahead. So glad I did!Staff is extremely friendly, food was good and fast. The atmosphere is really nice, and you can tell that the staff and owner have built a strong relationship with the people in the area. If I’m ever in Breckenridge again, I will definitely come here again too!P.S. They only take cash, check or trade. They do have an ATM, and the experience is definitely worth it in my opinion.
